The Holiday Rant!!!!!!!!!!

We all talk about how the holidays are coming & what we love about them. We also talk about how we will not shop or decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving. Yet the retail stores keep pushing to open earlier every year. Effectively cancelling the Holiday all together. Let’s face it, if we were not so crazy about getting the best deal we would not wait in a line at 3am in the morning on thanksgiving day. If we truly wanted to stop the madness we would all stay in & make sure our shopping was done the day before & also wait for the day after. I hear people talking about the idea that if we did not shop at that time & made it unrealistic more places would not open.

What is the real meaning behind these holidays? I was told it was about giving & being charitable. How come a lot of us for get that? How come it is about look at me & my shiny new thing-a-bob. If we were really into the real reason behind the holidays, More people would be fed and & have a place to stay. We would help the sick more as well. I think if we start to look at the holidays like this we would have the spirit in us. Train your kids to know the real reason for the season. Other wise what you are teaching them is being selfish and turning their backs on people that need help.
Rant over!

I hope your season brings joy to your family, friends & people you help a;long the way!
