DE advertising: the ad plan, do you have one?

You have everything in place! Website, social media & a marketing contract with a local firm but are you doing it all yourself? Your running ads on a regular basis but do you keep control & not take advice? If you are doing it all yourself & have employed services but you are not letting them do their job then you are wasting your money. If you are doing it all & saying advertising does not work then you need to admit to yourself that you are doing it wrong or you are in the wrong business. No mater what the case you should stop right NOW!

Ask for help & take advice. Before you spend another dine it’s time to do your homework. First question what are you selling? We are all selling something: Services, consulting, products just about anything that has value. You need to identify what that thing it. Next who wants your services & where can you find them? Can’t just place an ad & expect it to hit your target market you really need to know where they are. Now how much money do you have to budget with? One ad or contract could break your bank. With all the choices we have today it is hard just to say “I got a website & that’s enough!” With all this said it comes down to one thing “THE PLAN”! You plan to succeed & no plan you plan to fail.

If you wrote a business plan then you already should have a marketing plan. You may have gotten money from a bank because you had the right plan but if your not using it then you forgot why we write one. Keep in mind a business plan never is finished. It is your outline of how your business is run. If you don’t have one or think you don’t need one then you don’t want to stay in business do you? Yes there are businesses that seem to stay a float with out one but most of those business folks would like to make an extra buck too. They just don’t want to put in the extra effort or they are to controlling. The point is a plan will make you think about what you need to do. It will help you test & measure your campaigns & over time show you what give you the most r.o.i.’s.

Remember advertising is an investment over time; it is not spend a buck get a buck. Advertising will never be that way. It’s the idea of keeping your brand in the public eye so they never forget who & what your product is. So PLAN your future by writing out your marketing plan & ask help from professionals you Like, Know & Trust.
